Martyn is a trained chef and after working in hospitality and catering for over 15 years, he focused on his fitness journey training for ultra-marathons and Ironmans. His cooking followed with him (he even ran with tins of pinto beans and chia seeds!) and he took on the ‘the world’s hardest ironman’, twice. After that, Martyn worked with Joe Wicks aka The Body Coach as Nutritional Development manager, developing, writing, and photographing recipes for the business.
He then went on to found Lagom Chef in April 2019 with a mission to show people that eating healthily and sustainably really isn’t that complicated. With nutritionist-approved meal plans and an Academy to teach you how to cook Martyn’s fun and creative attitude is infectious.
The Lagom Chef brand has grown and evolved since then and has become a go to place for those wanting to find ways to reduce their food waste in their homes and learn how to use ingredients in creative and clever ways. Martyn has worked with a range of brands including WRAP, Love Food Hate Waste, Philadelphia, Rubies In The Rubble, OddBox and Stance creating content which inspires and challenges. Martyn’s message is clear – eat the food you buy and we can save the planet.
