Jamie Mollart is a novelist and screenwriter. He’s a mentor and creative writing tutor for Writing East Midlands, and is a member of the Climate Fiction Writers League, a group of global authors all raising awareness about climate change through their writing.

On its release, The Zoo, which was on the Amazon Rising Stars list, was an Amazon bestseller. Kings of a Dead World, which was published in 2020, was also an Amazon bestseller, longlisted for the BSFA awards and had a special Waterstones edition. He is currently working on adapting it for TV.

He has recently adapted the screenplay for The Zoo, and it has received numerous accolades including Best Screenplay at the London Independent Story prize, Best Screenplay at the New York Arthouse Film Festival, Best Screenplay at Comox Valley Film Festival, and was a finalist at Cambridge Script Festival, Palm Springs international Screenplay contest and the Los Angeles International Screenplay award. The film is pre-production and will be shot late 2026.
