Adam Howes & Harry Davies

Adam and Harry are a writing duo based in North Shropshire and London. Their debut short as writer-producers was the satirical comedy The Contract, starred Harry Enfield, Dan Snow and Max Brown. The screenplay was a finalist at The British Short Film Awards in 2022. The Contract is available on Amazon. Their follow-up short, Foxhole – a World War II drama – was directed by Tom Brittney and is currently on the festival circuit, where it has garnered a number of awards, including Best Screenplay.

In the world of TV comedy, their sitcom Cinnamon Empire is under option with Robson Green’s production company, Rivers Meet, while their horror-comedy pilot, The Executors, has previously been optioned by King Bert. They also have several original TV drama projects in development with producers including Clapperboard and Etta Pictures.

In addition to their spec scripts, they have been hired to write on multiple projects including biographical period drama Iron Ribbon (which is set to shoot later this year, with actors Tom Hughes and Sarah Gadon attached) and noir thriller Matryoshka (currently in development in Poland).

Prior to their writing partnership, both Adam and Harry worked as professional actors. Harry trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. During his time there, he penned the stage play The Grebble Monster, a dark comedy about religion and motherhood, which debuted at the Seven Dials Playhouse in Soho. His most recent stage project, The Anthem – a satirical opera for which he wrote the libretto – premiered at the Royal College of Music. Adam is a full member of BAFTA. His first feature as writer-producer is available on Amazon Prime in the UK as well as streaming services worldwide.
