Deaf Talent Collective are an organisation who work with deaf and hard of hearing actors, casting directors, producers and creative professionals in TV and film from all over the UK.
The organisation was founded by CODA Tobi St Clair who has worked as a BSL interpreter in the industry for a number of years and Aimee Campbell – Nottage who is a deaf actress and presenter.
DTC aims to bridge the gap between deaf talent, on and off screen, and the wider Film and TV industry.
Their recent work includes script consultancy; assisting productions in hiring deaf crew, deaf consultants and BSL interpreters; providing specific tailored Deaf Awareness Training; booking deaf Supporting Artists on long running dramas such as EastEnders and Casualty and assisting and advising casting directors when looking for deaf talent.
Recent clients include Pulse Films, ITV, BBC Strictly Come Dancing, XBOX and Samsung.
TAP talent agent, Bhumi Ambasna represents DTC and provides them with industry guidance as well as an agency service.
