Salma is a poet, spoken word artist, writer, two times TEDx speaker, BBC Radio presenter and activist.
An ardent intersectional feminist, Salma’s work is committed to telling the stories of women and creating conversations that drive change. Whether performing her poetry across the US and UK, creating content for brands, writing essays and articles or delivering keynote speeches, her work is always centred on the female experience.
Salma has worked with Edinburgh University on the Dangerous Woman Project, The Wellcome Collection on the Living with Buildings exhibition and The British Library to name a few. She’s also worked with global brands such as Hinge where she talked about her online dating experiences and Virgin who interviewed her for their diversity in the workplace video series. In addition, she regularly works with brands such as Made.com, Bumble, Plan International and has most recently been published in the bestselling anthology, It’s Not About The Burqa.
